Welcoming Autumn: A Fall Equinox Gathering & Ritual

4 PM **NOTE TIME CHANGE**
For eons, all around the world,
humanity has gathered at seasonal markers
to celebrate and honor the gifts of the season.
You are invited to pause and join in this ancient tradition to:
- acknowledge your interdependence–with others and nature’s rhythms
- rejuvenate, ground and align yourself with the fall energies
- learn about the equinox as nature’s new year
- reflect on your experiences and growth over the past year
- engage in simple rituals to honor the gifts and what you want to release from the past year
- savor the bounty of harvest time in a shared potluck meal
- and sing together in reflection and celebration!
We will gather to celebrate the qualities and gifts of this seasonal transition time. We will also explore the equinox as the “new year” point for nature’s energy cycle and how that relates to our own lives and rhythms. Our time will include prompts for personal reflection, as well as gently interactive activities, group singing and a shared potluck meal. To close, a release ritual around the fire will free up energy to welcome the new!

This has been a formational concept guiding me to align more closely with nature’s energy and cycles. I find it more meaningful than the Gregorian calendar year, and it supports and guides where I focus my time and energy in each season.
