Sound Healing Retreat: Harmonizing with Self, Others and Gaia
October 11 – 13, 2019
Do you love sound healing and want more?
Does your bodymindspirit crave time away to relax and restore?
Do you desire more harmony within yourself, with others, and with Gaia?
If so, this is your opportunity! Come rejuvenate on a deep level as we harness the power of sound to heal. Strengthen and harmonize your connection to yourself, others, and Gaia… and your ability to embody unity consciousness.
Immerse yourself in healing vibrations and the colors of peak foliage season, as we gather in the mountains of western Maine at the state’s first Green~Certified earth~friendly retreat center, Nurture Through Nature: a 33-acre wooded mountain-side site with views of Mount Washington and the White Mountains. There are hiking trails and a spring-fed mountain brook with dipping pools at this rustic nature-centered get-away.
A word about Sound Healing with Andrea
Used with sacred intention, sound heals on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Sound is a powerful tool to break up dissonant patterns and stuck energy within the body and biofield, restoring harmony and raising consciousness. Andrea’s angelic voice, in combination with crystal singing bowls is transporting, and initiates an awakening of one’s soul. Bells, drum, rattle, chimes, and other instruments provide a variety of frequencies that deepen the healing experience. Vocal toning and chanting will also be taught and practiced as a group, giving you tangible sound tools to take with you and utilize on a daily basis.
Specific sound sessions will offer a focus on your relationship with your Self, with others, and with Gaia. Guided reflection with prompts will support you in shaping your intentions in these areas before each sound journey. Each participant will utilize and benefit from these journeys in unique ways. Group sharing and debriefing will assist in grounding and integrating the healing.
The weekend will include:
– 2 nights shared lodging
– 5 delicious vegetarian meals (dairy-free/gluten-free available)
– 4 sound sessions with group sharing and debriefing
– guided vocal toning and Ho’oponopono practice
– campfire song circle
– wood-fired sauna (optional)
– yoga (optional)
– free time for hiking, walking meditation, journaling, napping, etc.
– a magical, spring~fed mountain brook with dipping pools– to try cold hydrotherapy!
Be sure to visit the Nurture Through Nature site to see pictures and accommodations at this solar-powered, off-the-grid retreat space that welcomes you to a nurturing connection with Mother Nature. In addition to enjoying the delights of autumn, this connection with Gaia will also support your integration of the sound healing.
The majority of participants will be housed in the same building as the group sessions and meals. However, there is sloped terrain you must be able to navigate, as well as stairs. Foot paths connect our meeting space to other cabins/yurts, the sauna, etc.
You will be invited to a deeper retreat experience by turning off your cell phone for the weekend, or greatly limiting its use.
Arrival is 2:00 – 5:00pm Friday, October 11, and departure is noon on Sunday, October 13. You are free to stay on the grounds to linger or hike for the afternoon. Lunch is not provided Sunday.
Nurture Through Nature is about 1 hour and 10 minutes from the Portland Airport and Portland Transportation Center. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the retreat.
